COPPERTONE® CLEARLYSheer™ Suncreen

Courtesy of Bzzagent, I received 1 full size bottle and two sample/travel sizes of the Coopertone ClearlySheer Sunny Days Body Lotion, SPF 30 and two travel/sample sizes of the Coopertone ClearlySheer Beach & Pool Body Spray.  

Here's a little information about the Sunny Days Body Lotion, SPF 30. 

• The Sunny Days Body lotion claims to not clog pores or cause breakouts.  It does say it was clinically tested on acne-prone skin.  *My Opinion - I've only used it once on my face as I was using another product too and my face did breakout.  I"m not sure if this was this particular product or something else I was using so I cannot give a good opinion of this particular claim*
• Lightweight Formula.  *This is definitely a lightweight formula that leaves your skin feeling slightly moisturized and not greasy.  It's very lightly scented as well so you could even get away with another body lotion on top if you absolutely needed it.  I did not put anything on top of it because I felt it did a great job alone.
• Good for sensitive skin. *I agree, my skin is super sensitive and when I applied it to my face and chest, where I normally have the most sensitive skin, it did not make it red and blotchy.  
• Water Resistant (80 minutes).  I went to the park with my son for an hour and then a few hours later went to the beach.  After about 5 hours, I noticed it had finally worn off!  (I had went into the Gulf, and it stayed for a good while on my skin).

My thoughts?  I believe this is a GREAT "Sheer" sunscreen for day to day activities such as going to the park, baseball games, going to amusement parks, gardening. Anything outdoors really.  I have tried this a couple of times and the first time I used it, I actually used it for when I went to the beach.  It worked great for that purpose as well.  This product really surprised me.  It is lightweight but has a light scent of citrus/floral.  Nothing over powerful and the product is LIGHTWEIGHT and non-greasy to where you can put it on when you're getting ready for the day and put clothes on and it just feels like you put regular lotion on.  

Information on the Beach and Pool Body Spray 50spf (Travel Size)

• Lightweight and Fresh.  I actually used this product on my 8 year old son for both outdoor activity and the beach since it's a small travel size, it fits perfect in my purse.  It sprays out just the right amount, not full blast and coats the skin evenly.  After it dries, it's not sticky and nasty feeling, very lightweight as it claims.
• Water Resistant.  It definitely is water resistant.  My son played at the beach for a good hour and the sunscreen held up great.  
• This product claims to not clog pores or cause break-outs as well but I didn't use it on myself so I cannot testify if this is accurate.  My 8 year old didn't have any weird reaction to the product and it left his skin feeling normal.  

Again, this product is great. I received the 50spf, which I wouldn't ever use that much spf on myself, but I do use that amount on my son.  It worked great and was lightweight enough to spray on quickly and for him to go play outside or go to the beach.  

I definitely would recommend these products to my friends and family if you're looking for a good lightweight sunscreen that isn't heavy feeling.

Tone Petal Soft Body Wash!

As we all know, from previous posts of mine, or if you're a new follower, I am a BzzAgent through www.bzzagent.com.  A WONDERFUL website that sends you FREE or Discounted items to try and review. This one, has been my favorite so far!  

I received Tone's new scent from their body wash line, Petal Soft.  It's a wonderful, lightly scented body wash that has the perfect amount of fragrance and moisture for daily use.  It's a feminine scent, not overly flowery, but pleasant and spa like almost!  It left my skin super soft and lightly scented and suds up very well too!

I love Tone's body washes.  I've always enjoyed the White Clay and Pink Jasmine scent they've had for awhile and I'll be excited when this newest scent hits the shelves so all my family and friends can try!

Definitely a recommendation from me!

Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner

Hey Hey Hey my Lovely Beauties!

Today's topic, TONERS!  Because, let's face is ladies, we need toner in our life.  As I inch my way to turning 30 (I'm currently 27, about to be 28), I have become more conscious about the skin on my face/neck and how to keep my youthful appearance. I always like to wash my face in the morning and the evening and always apply a toner afterwards to remove any excess oils/dirt/makeup that may of been left behind.  The one that I am currently using and have almost completely used up is the Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner.

Below are my thoughts!

This toner claims to visibly reduce pores and to refine your skin by sweeping away dead skin & helping with rough patches/textures on the face.  

This toner is oil-free, non-comedogenic, and dermatologist tested.

My honest thoughts?

I think this toner is a good one, but it does not "visibly" reduce the appearance of my pores.  I do have large pores on my nose and cheek area and I use this toner every evening and I haven't noticed a difference.  It does make my face feel cleaner and fresher but I haven't noticed any huge change in my skin's texture or appearance after using this product for a couple of months.  I do have combination skin so I do have some oilyness & dryness.  I also have sensitive skin that can become red.  This product doesn't over dry my skin nor does it irritate it.  I only use it once a day just so I do not over dry my skin.  

Would I repurchase?  Probably will try another toner first and I may come back to this one in the future.

Price Range?  Under $10.00 at most retailers. 

This product does contain an Alpha & Beta Hydroxy Formula (Be sure to wear a suncreen as your skin will become more sensitive to the lovely sunshine)

Smash Cut by Sandra Brown

Howdy my fellow readers!  I am a HUGE Sandra Brown fan!  I do not think I have read a book by her that I haven't loved so far.  My latest read was Smash Cut, which I truly enjoyed.  Below is my review of what I thought!  You can always check out ALL my reviews of all my books I've read since 2010 on GoodReads.

Wonderful Read! But, what Sandra Brown book isn't? 

I'm a huge lover of all Sandra Brown books that I've read. She's a wonderful author who knows how to capture one's attention and keep you hanging on until the last line of the book. Which, in this case, the last line was a completely SHOCKER.

This story is about Julie Rutledge dealing with the murder of her beloved, Paul Wheeler. Paul was a millionaire and with money, there's always someone behind it causing problems. Paul's family, they are just plain crazy. His sister-in-law, Doug's wife, is completely insane. She thinks her son can do no wrong and she just lives off in la la land. Creighton, he's just a loon who lives for the movies and likes to live his life according to how movies are played out. Seriously?... Yep that's him... I absolutely despised him the entire book.

Well, like any murder-mystery-suspense novel, this one plays through different scenarios of "whodunit" but, we all know who the killer was and/or who set the killer up to kill Paul. That wasn't the shocking part. But, the ending will leave you going WHAT!?!

I'm guessing that you as my reader did not know that October is Fair Trade Month!  Don't know what that means?  Continue to read to find out :)

So I am going to go out on a limb and say that most of my readers, friends, and family honestly have never heard of Fair Trade.  What is it?  What's that mean as a consumer?  There are several questions and loads of answers to help better educate yourself on the topic.  

Before BzzAgent sent me a Campaign to try Green Mountain Coffee Three Continent Blend K-Cups that are Fair Trade Certified, I had NO idea what that meant.  I just figured, Hey, they're sending me complimentary coffee to try out! Well, of course I did receive a few K-Cups for my enjoyment, but also I learned a lot about what this particular coffee means to not just me as a consumer, but to the farmers and their communities.

Some facts that I learned that may help you understand 

• Fair Trade means that us as consumers purchase products that are from farms that are "Certified" to give fair wages and also a safe working environment for their employees.  It also means that the farmer received a fair price for the product/crop provided.
• When purchasing a Fair Trade Certified product, you are not only helping the farmers/workers, you are providing for a community in need.  These communities are in third world countries that do not have the luxuries that we have.  With the help of Fair Trade, we are providing money that goes towards healthcare and numerous other programs.

If you go to to Green Mountain Coffee's website, they will have a list of all the coffees that are Fair Trade Certified as well as their story, Kelly Clarkson's adventure to Peru and what she learned about what Fair Trade does for a community, and more information about what Fair Trade is.  

They have numerous flavors to check out.  I, myself, have only tried the Three Continent Blend, which is a great tasting coffee.  It's not too bold, but has a smooth flavor and I enjoyed it very much.  For a 24 count box of K-Cups, they are under $20.00, which is not bad at all in my opinion. Did you know that October is Fair Trade Month! "Buy Fair, Be Fair" ????

I am going to be completely honest when I say I had never heard of Fair Trade Certified™ coffee prior to receiving a sample of this for free from BzzAgent. Now that I've read up on what all this means, I think everyone should educate themselves on this important topic.  
Only 38% of consumers today know what Fair Trade Certified™ means!  

Here is what I learned researching online about what Fair Trade Certified™ means for us as consumers as well as farmers.  

1)What Is Fair Trade??
It means that the products we are purchasing are "fair".  From the farm to your house, if the product you purchased has the Fair Trade Certified™ logo on it, it means that the farmers/workers were paid fairly.  

Just Some Facts:

• When we as consumers purchase Fair Trade Certified™ Coffee, it means that farmers will receive a Fair price for their coffee beans.  Which ultimately means you will receive a better tasting and quality coffee and the farmers will have a better life as well. 
• Every time we purchase Fair Trade Certified™ Coffee, we are helping Farmers and their communities in more ways then one.  Some of those being in Education and Healthcare
• Fair Trade Certified™ is non-profit, but not a charity.  They do however teach communities that may not have a good advantage point, how to use the free market.  
• Each day counts ~ from Coffee to other items, if you purchase Fair Trade Certified™ goods, you are helping communities in more ways then one!

It takes only a few minutes to read up on what Fair Trade Certified™ means. I suggest to all my friends and friends to definitely read up and take action.  I will definitely be purchasing my K-Cups from Green Mountain Coffee® either in my local grocery store or online.  

A little side note that I learned is ~ Green Mountain Coffee® was named "Worlds Largest Purchaser of Fair Trade Certified™ Coffee (This was according to www.fairtradeusa.org)....  How amazing is that?!
